20 members of Iranian militias killed and injured by US airstrikes near borders with Iraq

Deir Ezzor province: 20 members of Iranian militias were killed and injured by nine US airstrikes on military headquarters and a patch of weapons in Al-Bokamal City and its vicinity near borders with Iraq.

According to reliable SOHR sources, non-Syrian members were among the killed members, where a patch of weapons, machineries and a weapon depot were targeted in Al-Bokamal City and its countryside.

On December 27, violent explosions were heard, as a result of an unknown drone targeting a position near Marmarah oil well in Al-Bokamal desert in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, within the areas controlled by regime forces and Iranian militias, where a camp for Iranian-backed militias that includes a number heavy machineries for drilling tunnels, is located in the targeted location. No causalities were reported.
On December 19, SOHR reported that an unidentified drone targeted a four-wheel military vehicle of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps in the desert near Al-Sukareyah town to the north-west of Al-Bukamal city within areas controlled by regime forces and Iranian-backed militias. This coincided with unconfirmed reports of the death of three Syrian members working for Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps
