Two separate attacks | 20 members of National Defence and Iran-backed groups kil*led and injured by IS*IS cells

Three members of ISIS were killed, while the number of “National Defence” members killed has risen to four in an attack by ISIS cells yesterday on a military position in the vicinity of Zamila area in eastern Al-Raqqa countryside.

On the same context, 16 members of Iran-backed groups of different nationalities were injured in an attack on the vicinity of Al-Talila Reserve north eastern of Palmyra.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the clashes between both sides ended after the withdrawal of ISIS cells towards the depth of the desert with the arrival of military reinforcements of the regime forces and their militias from the vicinity of Arak Field.

According to SOHR statistics, the number of fatalities in military operations in the Syrian desert since early 2024 has increased to 62; and they are as follows:
– Eight ISIS members were killed by regime forces and militias loyal to them.
– 53 members of regime forces and their proxy militias, including five Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen, were killed in 21 operations by ISIS members, including ambushes, armed attacks, and explosions, in west Euphrates region and the deserts of Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah, Homs.
– A civilian was killed in attacks by ISIS in the Syrian desert.
Here is a regional distribution of ISIS attacks:
-Deir Ezzor desert: Eight operations which left 21 fatalities:
19 combatants, including four Iranian-backed militias.
Two ISIS members.
-Homs desert: Nine operations left 28 fatalities:
24 combatants, including one member of Iranian-backed militias.
Three ISIS members.
One civilian.
-Al-Raqqah desert: Three operations left five fatalities:
Nine combatants.
Three ISIS members.
-Hama desert: One operation which left one fatality:
One combatant.
