“ISIS” attack | Regime soldier killed near Al-Sukhnah in eastern desert of Homs

A regime soldier was killed in an armed attack launched by “ISIS” cells yesterday, targeting posts of the regime forces and the “National Defence” Forces, between Al-Taybah and Al-Sukhnah towns in the eastern desert of Homs.
Yesterday, SOHR reported that ISIS cells launched an attack on positions of the regime forces and Iranian militias in the vicinity of Arak Gas Field north eastern of Palmyra City.
Moreover, ISIS cells attacked checkpoints of the 17th Division and the National Defence forces, in the area between Al-Taiba and Al-Sokhna Towns in eastern Homs countryside.
According to SOHR statistics, the number of fatalities in military operations in the Syrian desert since early 2024 has increased to 99; and they are as follows:
• 17 ISIS members were killed by regime forces and their proxy militias.
• 74 members of regime forces and their proxy militias, including 11 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen, were killed in 37 operations by ISIS members, including ambushes, armed attacks, and explosions, in west Euphrates region and the deserts of Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah, Homs.
• Eight civilians, including a child, were killed in attacks by ISIS in the Syrian desert.
Here is a regional distribution of ISIS attacks:
-Deir Ezzor desert: 11 operations left 27 fatalities:
• 25 combatants, including seven Iranian-backed militiamen.
• Two ISIS members.
-Homs desert: 20 operations left 47 fatalities:
• 34 combatants, including three Iranian-backed militiamen.
• 12 ISIS members.
• One civilian.
-Al-Raqqah desert: Three operations left 14 fatalities:
• 11 combatants.
• Three ISIS members.
-Hama desert: Two operations left eight fatalities:
• One combatant.
• Seven civilians, including a child.
-Aleppo: One operation left three Iranian-backed militiamen dead
