Planted earlier by ISIS | The number of fatalities in landmine explosion in regime military vehicle in eastern Homs jumps to four

Two regime soldiers died of the wounds they sustained yesterday in the explosion of a landmine planted earlier by ISIS, when a regime military car was in a combing operation in Al-Darwishiyah village in Jib Al-Jarah district in the eastern countryside of Homs, searching for ISIS cells.

 

Accordingly, the number of fatalities in this explosion has increased to four soldiers. The explosion also left two members of regime forces, including an officer, injured.

 

According to SOHR statistics, the number of fatalities in military operations in the Syrian desert since early 2024 has increased to 106; and they are as follows:

 

  • 17 ISIS members were killed by regime forces and their proxy militias.

 

  • 81 members of regime forces and their proxy militias, including 13 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen, were killed in 40 operations by ISIS members, including ambushes, armed attacks, and explosions, in west Euphrates region and the deserts of Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah, Homs.

 

  • Eight civilians, including a child, were killed in attacks by ISIS in the Syrian desert.

 

Here is a regional distribution of ISIS attacks:

 

-Deir Ezzor desert: 12 operations left 27 fatalities:

 

  • 25 combatants, including seven Iranian-backed militiamen.

 

  • Two ISIS members.

 

-Homs desert: 22 operations left 54 fatalities:

 

  • 41 combatants, including three Iranian-backed militiamen.

 

  • 12 ISIS members.

 

  • One civilian.

 

-Al-Raqqah desert: Three operations left 14 fatalities:

 

  • 11 combatants.

 

  • Three ISIS members.

 

-Hama desert: Two operations left eight fatality:

 

  • One combatant.

 

  • Seven civilians, including a child.

 

-Aleppo: One operation left three Iranian-backed militiamen dead.
