ISIS remnants | Seven regime soldiers killed and injured by landmine explosion in northern Palmyra city

Two regime soldiers were killed and five others were injured due to the explosion of a landmine planted earlier by ISIS members near Wadi Al-Abyad dam in northern Palmyra city in eastern Homs countryside.

 

The injured members were taken to the Palmyra national hospital for treatment, after the arrival of an ambulance accompanied by National Defence Forces.

 

According to SOHR statistics, the number of fatalities in military operations in the Syrian desert since early 2024 has increased to 127; and they are as follows:

 

  • 17 ISIS members were killed by regime forces and their proxy militias.

 

  • 100 members of regime forces and their proxy militias, including 13 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen, were killed in 48 operations by ISIS members, including ambushes, armed attacks, and explosions, in west Euphrates region and the deserts of Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah, Homs.

 

  • Ten civilians, including a child, were killed in attacks by ISIS in the Syrian desert.

 

Here is a regional distribution of ISIS attacks:

 

-Deir Ezzor desert: 15 operations left 31 fatalities:

 

  • 27 combatants, including seven Iranian-backed militiamen.

 

  • Two ISIS members.

 

  • Two truffle pickers.

 

-Homs desert: 26 operations left 62 fatalities:

 

  • 49 combatants, including three Iranian-backed militiamen.

 

  • 12 ISIS members.

 

  • One civilian.

 

-Al-Raqqah desert: Three operations left 14 fatalities:

 

  • 11 combatants.

 

  • Three ISIS members.

 

-Hama desert: Three operations left 17 fatalities:

 

  • Ten combatant.

 

  • Seven civilians, including a child.

 

-Aleppo: One operation left three Iranian-backed militiamen dead.
