Ongoing security chaos in regime-held area | Young man and two girls killed in two separate incidents in Rif Dimashq

Rif Dimashq province: In the past few hours, two murder crimes took place in Rif Dimashq within regime-held area.

 

A young man died of the serious injuries he sustained yesterday during a robbery in the vicinity of Al-Bassel roundabout in Jarmana city in Rif Dimashq, where two people on a motorcycle threw a grenade while attempting to steal a mobile phone from a passerby. The security services arrested one of the robbers, while the other managed to escaped.

 

While in Jadidat Artouz area, a civilian opened fire directly on his children, killing his two daughters and injuring his son seriously, before the father shot himself dead.

 

The Syrian Observatory has documented 52 murders in regime-controlled areas since the bingeing of 2024, where domestic violence and armed robberies were behind some of these murders, while motives behind the others remained unknown. These murder crimes left 54 fatalities, including ten women, 41 men and three children. The fatalities are distributed regionally as follows:

 

  • Daraa: 16 murder crimes left 11 men, including four women and a child dead.

 

  • Al-Suwaidaa: Five murder crimes left three men, a woman and a child dead

 

  • Rif Dimashq: Ten murder crimes left seven men, three woman and a child dead.

 

  • Homs: Five murder crimes left five civilians dead.

 

  • Hama: Three murder crimes left three civilians dead.

 

  • Al-Hasakah: Two murder crimes left two civilians dead.

 

  • Deir Ezzor: Five murder crimes left five men dead.

 

  • Damascus: Two murder crimes left a woman and a man dead.

 

  • Lattakia: Two murder crimes left two men and a woman dead.

 

  • Tartous: Two murder crimes left two men dead.
