After being discharged for more than year | Forty-year-old civilian killed by unknown people in Al-Suwaidaa city

Al-Suwaidaa province: A civilian in his forth decade was killed, after being shot by unknown gunmen on a motorbike, while he was inside a “stall” where he works to repair motorbikes on Al-Qalaah road in Al-Suwaidaa city, within regime-held areas.
According to information obtained by SOHR activists, the killed man hailed from Sahil Al-Ghab area in Hama countryside, and was a former volunteer with the regime forces with the rank of first assistant in Al-Suwaidaa, and then worked in repairing motorbikes after being discharged for more than a year.
This comes in light of the ongoing security chaos in regime-held areas.

The Syrian Observatory has documented 59 murders in regime-controlled areas since the bingeing of 2024, where domestic violence and armed robberies were behind some of these murders, while motives behind the others remained unknown. These murder crimes left 62 fatalities, including 12 women, 47 men and three children. The fatalities are distributed regionally as follows:

Daraa: 17 murder crimes left 11 men, including six women and a child dead.

Al-Suwaidaa: Six murder crimes left four men, a woman and a child dead

Rif Dimashq: Ten murder crimes left seven men, three woman and a child dead.

Homs: Seven murder crimes left seven civilians dead.

Hama: Four rder crimes left four civilians dead.

Al-Hasakah: Two murder crimes left two civilians dead.

Deir Ezzor: six murder crimes left six men dead.

Damascus: Three murder crimes left a woman and two men dead.

Lattakia: Two murder crimes left two men and a woman dead.

Tartous: Two murder crimes left two men dead
