Planted by “ISIS” | Explosion of landmine kills six “truffle” pickers in Deir Ezzor desert

Deir Ezzor province: Six civilians were killed, as a result of the explosion of a landmine planted by “ISIS”, in a car carrying truffle pickers in Al-Bushri desert in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor. The killed people hailed from Al-Shamitiyah town in Deir Ezzor countryside.
Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 50 civilians, including seven women and 22 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2024. In addition, 52 civilians, including a woman and 34 children, sustained various injuries.

The casualties are distributed regionally as follows:

Regime-controlled areas: 39 fatalities, including 21 children and seven women, and 39 injured civilians, including a woman and 21 children. Among this toll, 22 truffle pickers, including six women, were killed and nine others were injured.

SDF-held areas: 11 fatalities, all were children, and nine injured children.

HTS-held areas: Four injured children
