I*E*D expl*osion | IS*IS cells ki*ll a member of “Al-Asayesh” in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: A member of the Internal Security Forces “Al-Asayesh” died affected by the wounds he sustained due to the explosion of an IED targeting a military vehicle, where the IED was planted by ISIS cells in Al-Layez Neighbourhood in Gharanij Town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.

SOHR has documented 54 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 27 fatalities:
• 15 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.
• Three ISIS member.
• Four civilians.
• Four guards working with the Autonomous Administration.

These operations are distributed regionally as follows:

• Deir Ezzor: 43 attacks left ten combatants, one member of ISIS and three civilians dead.

• Al-Hasakah: Six attacks left three combatants, one civilian and two ISIS members dead.

• Al-Raqqah: Five attacks left three combatants and four guards working with the Autonomous Administration dead.
