Security chaos | Four people injured in family clashes eastern of Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: Four people were injured due to the eruption of clashes with machineguns between two families of cousins that are “Al-Khababsa” Family and “Al-Okaidat” Family in Al-Shahil Town eastern of Deir Ezzor, amid appeals for dignitaries to interfere an break the clashes.

Accordingly, the number of infightings which followed disputes over retaliation and family and tribal disagreements in areas controlled by the Autonomous Administration has reached 20 since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these infightings left 12 people dead and 53 others injured; they are distributed regionally as follows:

• Deir Ezzor: 14 infightings left two people dead and 27 people injured.

• Al-Raqqah: Three infightings left eight people dead and 20 people injured.

• Aleppo: One infighting left two people injured.

• Al-Hasakah: Two infightings left two people killed and three injured
