During 72 hours | War remnants injure about ten people including children within areas controlled by the regime and the SDF

Syrian war remnants, including mines, IEDs and unexploded objects, continue to explode among civilians in different Syrian provinces. These remnants, which were planted by military formations in various Syrian regions during military operations, constitute a major concern for Syrian civilians who are always victims of these remnants.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported the injury of nine people, including four children, within 72 hours, most of them in regime areas, and they are:
Regime-held areas: Six people, including a child
SDF-held areas: Three children
Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 79 civilians, including 19 women and 26 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2024. In addition, 79 civilians, including four women and 44 children, sustained various injuries.

The casualties are distributed regionally as follows:

Regime-controlled areas: 65 fatalities, including 19 women and 13 children, and 56 injured civilians, including four women and 22 children. Among this toll, 44 truffle pickers, including 18 women and a child, were killed and 21 others including three women were injured.

SDF-held areas: 14 fatalities, including 13 children, and 18 injured children.

HTS-held areas: Four injured children.
