At Iranian-backed militias’ orders | Woman arrested for “taking pictures of military positions in Deir Ezzor city”

Deir Ezzor province: Members of the regime criminal security service, at orders by Iranian-backed militias, arrested a woman in Deir Ezzor city for “taking pictures of military positions or regime forces and Iranian-backed militias in the city.” The woman was taken to a security branch and her fate remains unknown.

It is worth noting that a state of panic is growing among Iranian-backed militias and regime forces following the violent strikes which have recently targeted positions and individuals of Iranian-backed militias. In this context, Iranian-backed militias have imposed rigorous inspection on passers-by and inspected their mobile phones, where they arrest every one proving their involvement in taking pictures or filming military sites and positions.

This coincides with the growing confusion among Iranian-backed militias over expected attacks by Israeli or US forces.

On April 28, SOHR sources reported that members of a patrol of Iranian militias arrested a member of the “National Defence” militia in Al-Bokamal City after insulting and beating him for “filming military movement of a patrol of the militias in eastern Al-Bokamal countryside”, where they took him to a security centre and his fate remains unknown.
