Jaysh Usud Al-Sharqiyyah targets and downs a warplane in the skies of the desert after 5 weeks of downing a similar one

Aleppo Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the number of shells dropped since after midnight until this morning on the regime-controlled areas in Al-Zahraa neighborhood, west of Aleppo, rose to 13. No casualties were reported. Clashes, with a varying pace of violence, also broke out in areas in the neighborhood after midnight between the rebel and Islamic factions on one hand and the regime forces and their allied militiamen on the other.

The SOHR received information to the effect that Jaysh Usud Al-Sharqiyyah, operating in the Syrian Desert, managed to target and hit a warplane in the skies of the area connecting Al-Suwaidaa countryside and the southeastern part of Rif Dimashq. Cross sources confirmed that the warplane crashed as a result of shooting it down but no information has been reported so far about the destiny of its crew. Such targeting coincides with continued clashes in the Syrian Desert between these factions and the regime forces and their allied militiamen in Rif Dimashq and the southeastern and northeastern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa.

It should be noted that Jaysh Usud Al-Sharqiyyah managed on the 5th of June 2017 to target and down a warplane, causing its crash, in Dakweh Hill area where both Jaysh Usud Al-Sharqiyyah and Ahmad Al-Abdu Forces are present.
