The violent fighting returns to the Eastern Ghouta few hours after the pace of clashes decreased

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the decreased pace of fighting did not last for long in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, as the violent fighting returned again to Al-Ghouta, in which there are violent clashes taking place between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against the fighters of the Islamic Movement of Ahrar Al-Sham, in areas in the Vehicle Department and its vicinity near Harasta city, while the regime forces shelled areas in Harasta city and its vicinity by more then 45 shells, and no information about casualties was reported, while several shells fired by the regime forces fell on areas in Misraba town, in the Eastern Ghouta, which caused material damage.

 

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that the pace of clashes decreased in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, in which the Syrian Observatory monitored the decrease of the pace of clashes between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them against the fighters of the Islamic Movement of Ahrar Al-Sham, amid sporadic and exchange of targeting between he both parties, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published during the past hours that ongoing shelling kills more martyrs and leaves more injured civilians, as the military operations continue for the fifth day in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, since the beginning of the attack by Fajr Al-Ummah Battalion at noon of Tuesday the 14th of November 2017, where the SOHR monitored the escalation of violent clashes between the regime forces and their allied militiamen against fighters of Ahrar Al-Sham Movement in areas inside Vehicle Management and other areas surrounding it, amid an intensive targeting in the clash areas, and the warplanes carried out more air strikes, where it rose to at least 14 including a child and 4 women, the number of civilian martyrs, who were killed today, Saturday the 18th of November; they are 6 martyrs including 4 women who were killed in air strikes on areas in Madira town, 2 citizens were killed in air strikes on areas in Harasta city, 4 citizens including a child were killed in missile shelling, believed to be ground-to-ground, on areas in Haza town, 2 citizens were killed in missiles shelling in Hamouriya city. The shelling on these areas and on the cities of Douma, Zamlka, and Madira left about 40 persons injured with different severity, including women and children, and some of them are in serious conditions, which may increase the death toll, and the regime forces targeted a point of Ahrar Al-Sham Islamic Movement in the front of Vehicle Management, and the targeting injured about 20 fighters who were suffering blackout,  hard breathing and suffocation, and sources accused the regime forces of targeting the positions of the fighters with shells containing gases.
