The Turkish shelling renews targeting Afrin area and accompanies the continuation of the clashes in its northern and western countryside

The Turkish shelling renewed on places in Afrin area, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that shelling by the Turkish forces  which targeted areas in the villages of Jalmeh and Kafr Safrah in Jendires Township in the south-western countryside of Afrin city, in conjunction with shelling which targeted other areas in Afrin countryside, while the clashes continued between the YPG and the Self-Defense forces against the Turkish forces and the rebel and Islamic factions, in areas in the western and the northern countryside of Afrin area, amid the continuation of the exchange of targeting between the both parties, and information about human losses.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published during the past few hours that the exchange of shelling, the targeting and the clashes were accompanied by the flight of the Turkish warplanes over the area, while it has increased to 149 fighters and soldiers of the forces of the “Olive Branch” Operation who were killed since Operation “Olive Branch” was launched on the 20th of January 2018, including more than 22 soldiers of the Turkish forces which lead the operation, while it has increased to 123 fighters at least of the YPG and the Self-Defense forces who were killed in the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling, clashes and targeting in Afrin area.
