About 135 casualties of the regime forces and ISIS were killed in 8 days of military operations in the southern part of the capital Damascus

Damascus Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the military operations are continuing in the southern part of the capital Damascus, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that the warplanes have carried out intensive raids since after the midnight of Thursday – Friday and until this morning in areas in Yarmouk Camp, Al-Hajar al-Aswad and the outskirts of Al-Tadamonneighborhood, accompanied by rocket shelling carried out by the regime forces by shells and missiles believed to be ground-to-ground, this aerial and artillery shelling are accompanied by continuation of the violent clashes in areas in the outskirts and the vicinity of Yarmouk Camp, Al-Kadam, Al-Hajar al-Aswad and Al-Tadamon, between the “Islamic State” organization against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in continued attempt by the latter to force the former to start the implementation of the agreement or to surrender, amid new advancement by the regime forces on the area of Al-Kadam and Al-Hajar al-Aswad, and in the same context, shells fell yesterday after the midnight on places in Al-Zahira neighborhood which is located near Yarmouk Camp and al-Medan neighborhood, without information about casualties so far.

And with the continuation of military operations of shelling and clashes, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the increased death toll, where it has increased to 74 members at least of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, who were killed in 8 days of clashes, including a number of officers, and including 5 members were executed, while it has increased to 59, the number of members of the organization who were killed in the shelling, clashes and targeting that left tens of wounded in the ranks of the both parties, and the death toll is expected to rise because of the continued combat operations and the presence of injured cases in critical situation, and the SOHR published yesterday that the clashes in the area of the enclave controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, resulted in the fall of more human losses, where it has increased to at least 22, the number of the casualties of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them, while t has increased to 19, the number of members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham who were killed in these clashes, the SOHR also documented the death of 10 fighters who were killed in as a result of bombardment by helicopters by explosive barrels on an area in the outskirts of the southern Rif Dimashq at the contact lines with the south of the capital Damascus, including commanders in Jaysh al-Islam which operates in the area, also the shelling injured several people including commanders in Jaysh al-Islam, and the death toll is expected to rise because there are some people in critical situation, while the Syrian Observatory documented the death of 19 persons at least at least who have been killed since Thursday the 19th of April 2018, in Yarmouk Camp and the south of the capital Damascus, including a man, his wife and their child, 3 other citizen women, an old man and an ambulance driver, and the SOHR also documented the death of 10 persons at least including 3 children as a result of the fall of shells on areas in Al-Zahira, Nahr Eshe and other areas in the vicinity of the capital Damascus.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that deliberations are underway between representatives of the southern Rif Dimashq and between the Russians and the regime forces, to accept or refuse the regime’s request to hand over all the front lines between the factions’ controlled areas in the southern Rif Dimashq, and the organization’s controlled areas in the south of Damascus, so that the regime forces and the Palestinian factions and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities can be stationed, before starting their violent offensive they preparing for, in the terms of re-arranging their ranks and bringing military reinforcements to the fronts of the south of Damascus (Qalamoun, the Eastern Ghouta and other areas), while sources confirmed that the meeting which held yesterday between the trio committee with regard to the towns of Yalda, Beit Saham and Babbila in the southern Rif Dimashq, witnessed a threat by the regime forces to bomb these towns if the contact lines with the organizations are not handed over, and the sources confirmed that the Russian general who attended the meeting, ordered the officers of the regime forces to carry out the operation of the south of the capital without touching the towns of the southern Rif Dimashq, where it is expected that the regime forces will start to escalate their shelling even more, with carrying out violent attacks, through which they can control the organization’s controlled areas and divide them through separating them each others, confine the organization in scattered enclaves, and force it to surrender or accept the terms of the agreement.
