Daraa | Locals find decapitated head of young man in cemetery in Daraa al-Balad, and unidentified assailants kidnap member of 4th Division

Daraa governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources have reported that residents in Daraa al-Balad found a decapitated head of a young man from the town of Ma’araba in Daraa countryside, lying on a grave in al-Bahar cemetery in Daraa al-Balad. No further information has been reported on who is responsible for his death.

It is worth nothing that the young man is a university student who joined the Russian-backed 5th Corps and completed one of its military courses.

On the other hand, yesterday evening, unknown assailants kidnapped a member of the 4th Division of the regime forces from the town of Jelleen in Daraa countryside and took him to an unknown destination.

This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, mines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from past June to date, to more than 629 attacks.

While the number of those who killed and died in the same period has risen to 416 persons, 113 of whom are civilians, including 12 women and 12 children, in addition to 187 regime soldiers, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.

74 members of opposition factions were also killed, those who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 23 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to 19 members of so-called “Fifth Corps”.
