Autonomous Administration hands in over 20 children and women of ISIS families to representatives of European countries

The Department of Foreign Relations of the Autonomous Administration in Al-Qamishly city handed over, yesterday, three sick women and 12 children of ISIS families to representatives of the German government, under formal repatriation.

 

Similarly, the Department of Foreign Relations of the Autonomous Administration also handed over two women and six children of ISIS families to a Finnish delegation, under formal repatriation.

 

Accordingly, the Autonomous Administration of the northern and eastern Syria region has handed over 143 children and nine women of non-Syrian nationalities to representatives of their countries since the beginning of 2020. According to SOHR statistics and sources, all children and women are of Islamic State families held in al-Hawl camp in the far south-east region of al-Hasakah, while their fathers and spouses were ISIS fighters who had either been killed in previous battles or gone missing.
