Resisting arrest | Al-Hamza Division member injured in clashes in Afrin

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that a patrol of the Turkish-backed Al-Hamza Division raided two houses in Afrin to arrest two wanted suspects of the same Division, after the suspects tried to obtain 3,500 USDs from a civilian from Talf village in Jinderes district western of Afrin.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the suspects opened fire on the members of the patrol and shooting took place between both sides, injuring one of the suspects.

The two suspects belong to Al-Hamza Division and belong to Al-Mowaly tribe, and tried to obtain 3,500 USDs by force from a civilian from Talf village in Jinderes district and tried accusing him of “dealing with the former Autonomous Administration”, however the civilian issued a complaint against the two suspects to Al-Hamza Division, where the patrol raided the suspects to arrest them.

SOHR activists reported that on June 4, members of Al-Sultan Sulayman Shah “Amshat” faction kidnapped three civilians from Sheikh Al-Hadid district for “dealing with Autonomous-Administration during its control over Afrin. “Amshat” members asked the detainees’ families to pay ransom for their release.

On June 4, SOHR activists reported that members of an “Al-Sultan Solayman Shah” patrol arrested a woman without pressing charges in late May, for the third time for “dealing with the former Autonomous Administration.”

On the other hand, “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyah” faction released two civilians from Idlib for a ransom of 1,500 USDs for each civilian, who was arrested on May 29 for “belonging to ISIS.”
