The “Islamic State” shoots down a helicopter and kills its crew and other 20 regime forces’ members in violent attack on T4 airbase

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights was informed by reliable sources that it rose to at least 20, the number of members of the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them who were killed in a violent and continued attack, which was carried out by the “Islamic State” on the T4 airbase in the eastern countryside of Homs, as well as killing two pilots officers, one of them is a brigadier and the other one is a lieutenant, their helicopter was shot down by the organization, which also shelled the airbase area intensively in conjunction with its ongoing attack, where organization managed to achieve advancement in the vicinity of the airbase area, the “Islamic State” continue following the successive attacks method on centers and locations of the regime forces and other ancient and oil locations and other sites controlled by the regime forces, since the beginning its offensive 12 days ago on Palmyra area, while warplanes targeted the” Islamic State’s” controlled areas and sites in Palmyra Desert.

It is worth mentioning that hundreds of Russian Special Forces soldiers are in the T4 airbase, of which the “Islamic State” organization is trying to access and storm it and control it, while Suhail Hassan the colonel in the regime forces leads the military operations in Palmyra and the eastern countryside of Homs, where the regime intends to regain control of Palmyra city and its desert, after leading the clashes of regaining control of the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo city.
