Airstrikes targets Al-Raqqah countryside with attempts to reduce the advancement distance towards Al-Raqqah city

Al-Raqqah Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
International Coalition’s warplanes carried out airstrikes on places in the eastern and western banks of the Balikh River in the northeast of Al-Raqqah city, in conjunction with violence clashes between the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition against the “Islamic State” organization, in areas less than 8 km away of Al-Raqqah city in its northeastern countryside, where the Syrian Observatory for human rights published hours ago that the clashes are still taking place in full swing at the northeastern countryside city Al-Raqqah, about 8 km away from the city, which is considered the stronghold of the “Islamic State” organization, where the clashes are concentrated in the eastern banks and outskirts of the Balikh River, in the northeast of al-Raqqah city, between fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces against members of the organization, where SDF try to advance in the area within the 3rd phase of their military campaign under the name of “Euphrates Wrath”, simultaneously with advancement attempts by of SDF in the sector of the first phase of the “Euphrates Wrath” operation, which included the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah, and the sector of the second phase which included the western countryside, the clashes were accompanied by heavy shelling by the Syria Democratic Forces on areas controlled by the organization and its positions, and targeting by the last mentioned of sites of the first mentioned, in conjunction with bombing by warplanes of the international coalition on the clash areas.
