“Euphrates Wrath” operation forces advance west of Al-Raqqah and control new village and get closer to Al-Baath Dam

Al-Raqqah Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that the violent clashes are still taking place between the Syria Democratic Forces and the US Special Forces and International Coalition’s warplanes against the “Islamic State” organization, in a continued attack by the operation forces of “Euphrates Wrath” in the eastern and western countryside of Al-Raqqah, where cross-sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that the Syria Democratic Forces managed to advance and control Western al-Sahlabiyya village putting them closer to the northern banks of the Euphrates River in the western countryside of Al-Raqqah in an attempt to achieve a greater advancement and reach Al-Baath Dam on the Euphrates River, where only hundreds of meters separate these forces from the Dam, which is relied on for electric power generation and organizing water flow in the Euphrates River.
