Military reinforcements, vehicles and weapons reach again the Syria Democratic Forces in the vicinity of Al-Raqqah city

Al-Raqqah Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the clashes continue between the Syria Democratic Forces and the US Special Forces, against members of the “Islamic State” organization in areas in the vicinity of city center of Al-Raqqah, in an attempt by the Syria Democratic Forces to achieve advancement in the area, the clashes are accompanied by exchange of shelling between both parties and counterattacks by the organization, in an attempt to inflict more casualties in the ranks of the Syria Democratic Forces, also the organization is trying to regain control of areas it lost earlier, where it now controls about 45% of the city’s area, while areas in Al-Raqqah city were bombed by the International Coalition warplanes, they targeted areas controlled by the organization and its positions, and confirmed information about casualties.

In the same context, new military reinforcements of weapons, materiel and vehicles provided by the International Coalition reached the vicinity of Al-Raqqah city, aboard tens of vehicle-carrying trailers and trucks, to participate in the Grand battle of Al-Raqqah, and in preparation for the final battle in the city, through which the Syria Democratic Forces seek to end the existence of the “Islamic State” organization in the remainder of Al-Raqqah city, and during the past weeks and months military reinforcements had reached the fronts of Al-Raqqah city, in preparations for the final battle; in which “Euphrates Wrath” Operation Forces aim to control the entire city of Al-Raqqah.
