ISIS resists the regime forces fiercely from Al-Mayadin to T 2 and keeps them about 65 km away from Al-Bokamal

With the withdrawal of the organization…the SDF advance and become less than 50 km away from Al-Bokamal city

The “Islamic State” organization moves rapidly and carries out counter attacks, that target the regime forces in most of the areas where they advance, and despite distributing the fighting fronts, ISIS continues its operation and fights fiercely against the regime forces which are trying to reach the last and biggest stronghold of it, Al-Bokamal city, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored that ISIS continued during the past 24 hours, its clashes against the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in which the organization managed in the south-western desert of Al-Bokamal, to keep the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them away at a distance of about 65 km from Al-Bokamal city, and the clashes returned to be concentrated in the Second Station (T 2), which the regime forces controlled on the 26th of October 2017, while the violent clashes are accompanied by intensive shelling and raids by the warplanes on the controlled areas of the organization in the area, amid intensive shelling and targeting by the organization to the locations and the positions of the regime forces in the area, in an attempt by the organization to regain the control of the Second Station.

And in the second front of the western banks of the Euphrates River, in the western countryside of Al-Bokamal, the violent clashes are continuing between the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian, Arab and Asian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, and the later managed by continuing its attack to regain the control of Al-Quriyah town, forcing the regime forces to get back to Mahkan town in the east of Al-Mayadin city, and the fighting in this front coincides with intensive shelling and exchange of targeting in the clash areas, and information about the fall of more casualties in the ranks of the both parties, and the regime forces became more 65 km away from Al-Bokamal city from this front.

This fighting in the both fronts, and keeping the regime forces away from the areas the advanced in, by the organization, and sending them back at further distances away from the last stronghold of the organization in Syria, is accompanied by advancement by the Syria Democratic Forces in the east of the Euphrates River, toward Al-Bokamal city, and the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the International Coalition, became at a distance of about 50 km away from Al-Bokamal city, after they took the control of Al-Tank oilfield, amid information obtained by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that the “Islamic State” organization is facilitating the way of the International Coalition and the ground forces of “Al-Jazeera Storm” operation which is led by the SDF, to reach Al-Bokamal city, with the continuation of the organization to carry out counter attacks against the regime forces to keep the away of the city, in which the past days witnessed withdrawals by the organization from Al-Omar oilfield which is the biggest oilfield in Syria, and from Al-Tank oilfield, then the SDF took the control of them, and the sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, that the organization turned to this regard, because it as well as the local citizens of Al-Bokamal area and its countryside, prefer the control of the SDF on these areas that are controlled by the regime forces, instead of being controlled by “the Shitte Militia”.

It is noteworthy that the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 17th of October 2017, that the “Islamic State” organization withdrew from the villages that were under its control in the area between al-Husseiniya village -which is controlled by the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them- and Mhimideh village -which is controlled by the Syria Democratic Forces, these villages are: Al-Jninah, Shaqra, Ji’aa, al-Alayna, al-Hesan, Sfireh Foqani and Sfireh Tahtani east of the Euphrates River and northwest of Deir Ezzor city, the sources confirmed that the organization withdrew from these villages towards areas in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, where the Syria Democratic Forces have entered several villages and started sweeping where they entered, in conjunction with completing their advancement towards the rest of the villages which are now ISIS-free, thus, the entire northwestern countryside of Deir Ezzor is free from the “Islamic State” organization, while the Sources informed the Syrian Observatory that the withdrawal took place by an unannounced agreement between the organization and the “Jazeera Storm” Operation, by securing a withdrawal corridor for the organization towards its controlled areas in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in exchange for getting out of these villages, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published on the 22nd of October 2017, that the Syria Democratic Forces supported by the US Special Forces, managed to achieve strategic advancement in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in which they managed to enter Al-Omar oilfield, which is the biggest oilfield in Syria, this achievement came after the “Islamic State” organization managed at the night before the SDF took the control of it, to expel the regime forces from the eastern banks of the Euphrates River opposite Al-Mayadin city, where the organization forced them to withdraw, by carrying out a counter attack on the area, then the SDF started an attack to take the control of the oilfield which the regime forces had reached its outskirts, in which the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also learned then that this advancement of the SDF took place by advancing towards the field from several fronts, in which these forces managed during the last night to take the control of Al-Sayjan field which is located in the north of Al-Omar oilfield.
