The regime force advance with their allies deep into the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus and take the control of new farms after clashes during which about 200 members and fighters were killed in 11 days

Successive violations by intensive strikes on the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus breach Putin’s truce and raise the number of casualties to 810 citizens at least

Rif Dimashq Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the military operations in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus are continuing for the 11th consecutive day, since they were launched on the 25th of February 2018, where the violent clashes are continuing, between Al-Rahman Corps and Jaysh Al-Islam against the regime forces backed by armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, in areas in the middle and south of the factions’ controlled areas in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, within the ongoing efforts by the regime forces and their allies under a Russian command, to control more areas, where the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored new advancement achieved by the regime forces represented by taking the control of the eastern and southern farms of Mesraba, reaching to the extension of the town as well as taking the control of the entire farms of Beit Sawa and advancing into the vicinity of the town, and with this advancement, the regime forces became in control of parts of Mesraba and Beit Sawa by firearm, in conjunction with advancement and clashes in the vicinity of Jisrayn town, while this new advancement came under an intensive aerial and rocket cover since dawn, represented by carrying out more than 157 airstrikes by warplanes and helicopters, with intensive shelling by tens of missiles and artillery and rocket shells by the regime force.

These violent clashes accompanied by ambushes, exchange of targeting, mine explosions and intensive shelling, resulted in increasing the number of human losses in the ranks of the conflicting parties in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, raising to 104 at least including several officers and a local commander in the “Tiger’s” forces, the number of the members of the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them whose death has been documented by the Syrian Observatory until now during the clashes of the Eastern Ghouta, and the SOHR also documented the death of 95 fighters at least of Jaysh Al-Islam who have been killed since the 25th of February 2018, until now, while the Syrian Observatory monitored raids targeting areas in Jisrayn town and Saqba city, which resulted in the injury of about 20 citizens, and the warplanes targeted areas in the cities and the towns of Douma, Harasta, Kafr Batna, Hazza and Ein Tarma, which resulted in the injury of 13 citizens at least, amid intensive shelling by tens of missiles which targeted areas in Douma Farms and Harasta Farms, while the SOHR documented the death of 3 citizens including a child as a result of the intensive bombardment witnessed in Jisrayn town since morning, also 2 citizen women were killed in the raids on areas in Saqba city and in Harasta city, raising to 810, the number of Syrian civilians who were killed in the Eastern Ghouta, including 179 children and 110 women, who have been killed by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling on the cities and towns of Douma, Harasta, Arbin, Zamalka, Hamouriyah, Jesrin, Kafr Batna, Hazza, Ash’ari, Nashabiyah, Aftries, Otaya, Al-Shifonyyah, Al-Marj area, Mesraba, Madyara, Beit Sawa, and other areas in the besieged Ghouta of Damascus, and the shelling during this period which completed 2 weeks since it started, resulted in the injury of more than 4043 citizens including hundreds of children and citizen women with varying severity, some of them have permanent disabilities, while the bodies of tens of citizens are still under the rubble of destruction caused by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling by the regime forces on the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and the total death toll documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, includes 278 casualties including 42 children and 34 women who were killed and documented by the SOHR after the resolution of the UNSC, which failed again to stop the killing of the people of the Eastern Ghouta, and the shelling resulted in the fall of hundreds of wounded, where the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries, amid the tragic humanitarian situation of the people of Ghouta, who intersected sources confirmed to the Syrian Observatory that they do not leave the shelters for fear of the intensive shelling, amid inability of the medical staff to relieve all medical cases.

And the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday that the clashes continue between the regime forces supported by gunmen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities; against fighters of Rahman Corps and Jaysh al-Islam in the center and south of the Eastern Ghouta, with the continuation of regime forces’ operations to achieve advancement in the area and control more areas, after the regime forces have taken control of about 40% of the factions’ controlled areas in the Eastern Ghouta since the 25th of February 2018, by controlling all of Hosh of Al-Dawahra, Hosh al-Zriqiyyeh, Tal Farzat, al-Nashabiyah, Hazrma, Muhammadiyah, Hosh Qubaybat, and the farms of Al-Rihan, Beit Sawa, Ashari and Mesraba, and getting closer to Douma city and the Vehicle Department, where the regime forces are aiming at the same time to split the Eastern Ghouta into 2 sections, one of them contains Douma, Harasta and al-Rihan farms, and the other on contains cities and towns under the control of Rahman Corps.
