Clashes result in the advancement of the regime forces in the Eastern Ghouta with the rise of the death toll

Rif Dimashq Province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: the clashes continue between the regime forces and militiamen loyal to them against fighters of Rahman Corps, in places in the southern section of the Eastern Ghouta, where the clashes are concentrated in the vicinity of Jesrin town, in which the regime forces advanced in farms and points in it, amid exchange of targeting in the clash areas between both parties, while it rose to 12 at least including 4 children and 2 women, the number of persons who were killed today in Hamouriyah city, also it rose to 3, the number of people who were killed in shelling by the regime forces on areas in Arbin city, while it rose to 5 including a child, the number of people who were killed today in shelling on areas in KafrBatna town by the regime forces, raising to 47, the number of civilian casualties including 6 children and 3 women, and it rose to more than 213, the number of injured civilians including tens of children and women in less than 36 hours, during which evacuations of tens of civilians took place from Douma city, which is under the control of Jaysh al-Islam through al-Wafedin camp to shelters in regime forces’ controlled areas in Rif Dimashq.

Where it rose to 1229, the number of the Syrian civilians whose death was documented by the Syrian Observatory in the Eastern Ghouta, including 250 children and 167 women, who have been killed since 18th of February 2018 by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling on the cities and towns of Douma, Harasta, Arbin, Zamalka, Hamouriyah, Jesrin, Kafr Batna, Hazza, Ash’ari, Nashabiyah, Aftries, Otaya, Al-Shifonyyah, Al-Marj area, Mesraba, Madyara, Beit Sawa, and other areas in the besieged Ghouta of Damascus, resulted in the injury of more than 4740 citizens including hundreds of children and citizen women with varying severity, some of them have permanent disabilities, while the bodies of tens of citizens are still under the rubble of destruction caused by the aerial, rocket and artillery shelling by the regime forces on the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, and the total death toll documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, includes 697 casualties including 109 children and 84 women who were killed and documented by the SOHR after the resolution of the UNSC, which failed again to stop the killing of the people of the Eastern Ghouta, and the shelling resulted in the fall of hundreds of wounded, where the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries.
