Fighters of “National Army” factions in Ras Al-Ain and Tal Abyad demonstrate against Turkey for the second day

Syrian Observatory activists say that widespread tension is still continuing in areas controlled by Turkish forces and their proxies in Ras Al-Ain in Al-Hasakah countryside and Tal Abyad in rural Al-Raqqah.

Fighters of “National Army” factions are still continuing sit-in demonstrations and protests, demanding Turkey pay their salaries, open the border and shift fighters. The fighters have cut off the roads in Ras Al-Ain and Tal Abyad using rubber tires.

On March 6, SOHR sources reported that violent clashes with machineguns took place on the 5th of March 2020 in the Turkish-controlled village of Kafifeh in the western countryside of Tal Abyad. According to Observatory sources, clashes took place between al-Majd Corps and al-Shamal Brigade, after a dispute over distribution of stolen times and goods. Six members of both sides were killed. Turkish forces intervened to break up clashes.
