SOHR appeals unheeded | Recruitment of children continues in areas controlled by Autonomous Administration and SDF

 

Despite all the repeated calls and appeals by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights to the Autonomous Administration and SDF to stop recruiting children in areas under their control, recruitment of children is still on the march.

Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that “Al-Shabiba Al-Thawriyah” (The Revolutionary Youth)  continues to recruit children and still keeps children it recruited previously. 

We, at the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, renew our appeals to the Autonomous Administration and SDF which are responsible for this region, to stop recruiting children which is considered  a crime against childhood. We also call upon  UNICEF to interfere immediately in order to protect children, keep them away from military actions, and bring back the recruited children to their families.

We also reconfirm that SOHR  sides only with the Syrian people of all backgrounds (ethnic, sectarian and religious), and we will continue defending their rights and tracking all the violations against them throughout Syria, despite all the smear campaigns and inflammatory statements.
