More Turkish reinforcement to northwestern Syria

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, the Turkish forces sent more reinforcements to the Syrian territories, as part of strengthening their bases in the de-escalation zone in northwestern Syria.

A field source from Idlib told North Press that a Turkish military convoy entered the Syrian territory through Kafr Lossin border crossing in Idlib, on Saturday morning.

The Turkish convoy consisted of 20 vehicles containing armored vehicles, artillery, logistical equipment, and guard booths. The convoy headed towards the Turkish posts deployed in Zawiya Mountain area in the southern countryside of Idlib.

The number of vehicles that have entered the Syrian territories since the start of the new ceasefire last March reached about 8,155 vehicles and about 10,000 Turkish soldiers, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

Since its military intervention in Syria, the Turkish forces have established more than 60 military posts and bases the governorates of Idlib, Aleppo, Hama and Latakia in the northwest of Syria.
