“De-escalation zone” | Regime forces shell areas in Jabal al-Zawiya and Sahl Al-Ghab, and factions respond targeting positions south and south-east of Idlib

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored a rocket attack by regime forces on areas in Al-Fatira, Flifel, Kansafra, al-Bara, Safohin and Benin in the southern sector of Idlib countryside, and other areas in Al-Ankawi and Qulaydin in Sahl Al-Ghab, north-west of Hama. Meanwhile, factions have shelled regime forces’ positions on frontlines south and south-east of Idlib, but no casualties have been reported so far.

Yesterday, SOHR activists documented the death of a regime solider after being shot by opposition factions’ snipers on the frontlines of Saraqeb city in the east of Idlib city.

On the other hand, SOHR sources reported violent clashes with artillery and heavy machineguns between opposition factions and regime forces on frontlines of Al-Ruwayha village in the southern countryside of Idlib.

Also, regime forces shelled, with heavy artillery, the towns of Kansafra, Al-Bara, and Al-Faterah in the southern countryside of Idlib. Meanwhile, “Al-Fath Al-Mubin” operations room targeted, with heavy artillery, regime positions in Kafr Nubl in Idlib countryside
