“De-escalation zone” | Regime forces and factions of “al-Fath al-Mubin” trade rocket fire on frontlines in northern Latakia

SOHR activists in the “de-escalation zone” have reported rocket attacks by regime forces, this morning, on frontlines in Jabal al-Turkman in the northern countryside of Latakia as well as several towns and villages in Jabal al-Zawiyahin southern Idlib. No casualties have been reported.

 

Meanwhile, “al-Fateh al-Mubin” operations room fired several rockets on regime positions in Tallat Rashu in al-Tuffahiyyah mountain in northern Latakia.

 

Yesterday, SOHR activists in the “de-escalation zone” documented the death of a pregnant woman and the injury of eight other civilians due to the Russian airstrikes on Jabal Al-Zawiya in the southern countryside of Idlib. It is worth noting that the woman was killed by the bombardment on Mantaf town, while the injured people were as follow:

 

  • Seven civilians by raids on Sarjeh town.

 

  • One civilian by Russian airstrikes on Mantaf town.

 

Russian warplanes had launched consecutive airstrikes on the eastern frontlines of Jabal al-Zawiya where the raids targeted al-Rouwaiha and the surrounding areas of Sarjeh and Mantef towns.

 

These airstrikes conceded with shelling by HTS, with artillery, on a gathering of Russian-backed militias in Maasaran town south east of Idlib, which left several people injured.

 

SOHR sources had also reported that opposition factions fired several rockets and artillery shells on positions of regime forces and loyalists in Kafr Nebl city and Maarrat al-Nu’man city and eastern countryside in southern Idlib.

 

The factions also targeted military positions and headquarters and residential neighbourhoods in Jurin, Na’our Jurin, Ain al-Hamam, Ain Salimu, al-Barakah and al-Bahsah in Sahl al-Ghab in north-western Hama. However, no casualties were reported.

 

Earlier this morning, SOHR sources reported that a civilian was killed and three others sustained various injuries in Jabal al-Arba’in area in an attack by regime forces with artillery and rocket fire on a civil car in Kafr Lata this morning. The attack also caused substantial material damage.
