Regime-controlled areas

 

-Reliable sources in the eastern countryside of Aleppo have told SOHR that the Iranian-backed militias have brought in new military reinforcement in the past few hours to their recently-established base on a hill in Habboubah village between al-Khafsah and Maskanah, near the bank of the Euphrates river and opposite areas under the control of the International Coalition and Syria Democratic Forces on the river’s other bank.

 

-Iranian-backed militias, led by the Afghani Liwaa Fatemiyoun continued recruitment operations east Aleppo countryside through offering financial incentives. According to SOHR sources, the number of people recruited by Iranian-backed militias since early February has risen to nearly 985. The recruitment operations are concentrated in the areas of Maskanah, al-Sfirah, Deir Hafer, and other areas in towns and villages of eastern Aleppo through Iran’s spiritual proxies and bureaus that offer financial incentives.

 

-According to SOHR sources, the new reinforcement included weapons, ammunition and medium-range surface-to-surface missiles from west Euphrates region. It is worth noting that this is the second batch of reinforcement to be brought to the area in 20 days, while no confirmed information has been reported so far about the goals or objectives.

 

– SOHR sources have reported that unknown assailants have thrown a grenade on the house of al-Karak al-Sharqi mayor in the eastern countryside of Daraa, but no casualties have been reported.

 

Also, a man sustained various injuries and was taken to hospital after unknown gunmen opened fire on him in Daraa al-Balad in Daraa city.

 

This development comes as a part of the escalating security chaos throughout Daraa province

-SOHR activists have documented the death of an explosives expert of regime forces, while he was dismantling an IED planted earlier in a car near a school in al-Sabeel neighbourhood in Daraa city.

 

-SOHR have reported that Regime forces brought military reinforcements to the state security branch in Mahajjeh district near Ankhel city north of Daraa, while regime forces tended to rise (on purpose raised ) the soil barriers in the vicinity of the security branch fearing of ( attacks) being targeted .This development came days after the explosion of IED which was planted by unknown attackers near security state headquarter in Mahja town , without  information about casualties at that time.

-SOHR activists have reported that regime security services have stormed several houses in Mahajjeh town in the northern countryside of Daraa, arresting nearly ten people for unknown reasons.

-SOHR monitored that security services belonging to Syrian regime arrested the day before yesterday a media activist and his wife after storming his home at Deir Al-Asafeer district along the southern side of Eastern Ghouta .

According to SOHR ,  the media activist who was arrested , used to work during the opposition factions control on Ghouta as a correspondent for factions opposition T.V channels , in addition to his work in some organizations that cared about civil affairs ,supported by European and American sides.

The media activist chose to stay in Eastern Ghouta under the regime officers and  Russian custody after regime forces controlled Ghouta  March 2018 , though, he was investigated several times before he was arrested and was taken to the security state branches, where he was forced to shot some videos by Regime and Russian media (in order to deny) denying the allegations about chemical weapons massacres committed by Regime in Eastern Gouta on August, 2013

 

SDF held areas

-SOHR activists have reported seeing Russian and Turkish forces running a new joint patrol in Ain al-Arab countryside (Kobani) in eastern Aleppo. Four Russian vehicles and four other Turkish set off from Ghareeb village in eastern Ain al-Arab and toured the villages of Jayshan, Qarrah, Mough, Kharabishan, Bortabah, Ba’deek and other villages, before they returned to the starting point.

 

-The Turks keep retaining Syria’s share of water behind their dams, disregarding international compact between the two countries and all appeals to release Syria’s water. Meanwhile, power generation turbines have been suspended and irrigation canals are out of service.

 

We, at the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, repeatedly warn against a looming disaster threatening lives and livelihood of more than three million Syrians, who depend on the river for drinking, electricity and irrigation.

 

-Syrian Observatory activists have monitored residents demonstrating in the SDF-held town of Jadid Bakara in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, condemning the considerable corruption in local councils. The demonstrators, who blocked the road by setting fire to rubber tires, also called for increasing amounts of flour and fuel allocated to Deir Ezzor.

 

-SOHR activists reported that a group of civilians including women and kids entered Turkey territory illegally this afternoon from Al-Khazara village cross on AlWasel road between Amouda and Derbasiyah city north-east Syria region on the Syria- Turkey border.

– Activists have reported that, border guards of Syria democratic Forces fired warning shots to stop these civilians, during their attempt to cross the borders resulting in two civilians injured before they managed to reach Turkey territory , the Turkish border guard forces “Jandarma” responded to the fire coming from Syrian territory.

 

-Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of two children and injury of five others in a landmine explosion in Mazalan village of al-Malikiyah area (Dayrik) in al-Hasakah countryside. It is worth noting that the old landmine exploded when the children were tampering with it. However, it is not known yet the way that landmine reached this area.

 

-SOHR activists have monitored tribes reconciliation under supervision of SDF relation committee and tribe dignitaries  council in Al-Malikiyah “Derek” and Al-Jazeera between two Kurdish tribes , due to murder of two youth from both tribes 20 years ago.

Reconciliation cession was held today in Malikiyah “Derek” district and attended by some independent figures , tribe dignitaries ,and other Kurdish , Arab, Sirians parties members and political figures

 

De-escalation zone

SOHR sources have reported renewed rocket attacks by regime forces on different areas in Idlib and Hama countryside this morning, targeting positions in Mar’yan, Shnan, al-Barah, al-Fterah, Sfuhen, Fulayfel, Bayanin, Kansafra in the southern countryside of Idlib, al-Najiyah in the western countryside of Idlib and Qulaydin in the north-western countryside of Hama.

Turkish-backed factions held areas

-SOHR sources in “Euphrates Shield” areas have reported an IED explosion in a car in al-Bab city, which is under the control of Turkish-backed factions in the eastern countryside of Aleppo. The explosion has seriously injured the car’s driver who is the owner of a currency exchange shop.

 

SOHR activists have reported that Turkish-backed factions arrested yesterday a civilian and a woman from the town of Hammam al-Turkman in the city of Tel Abyad, north of al-Raqqah in “Peace Spring” area, but the reasons behind this arrest remained unknown.

 

-Turkey forces soldiers savagely beat a sheep herder who was shepherding his sheep near a Turkish military base  in Jia village of Rajo district in the northern countryside of Afreen in north western Aleppo .

According to SOHR activists the shepherd was arrested by Turkish soldiers and was taken inside the base and sustain his sheep , the shepherd fate still unknown till writing this news

 

 

Syrian desert

-SOHR sources have reported that Russian jets resumed their airstrikes on the Syrian desert, as they successively executed intensive airstrikes on ISIS positions in various areas of the Syrian desert. According to SOHR sources, the Russian fighter jets have executed over 40 airstrikes since morning, targeting the surrounding areas of Jabal al-Bishri near the administrative border between al-Raqqah and Deir Ezzor, al-Mayadeen desert in eastern Deir Ezzor, and al-Sukhnah desert in the eastern countryside of Homs, near the administrative border with Deir Ezzor, amid confirmed reports of casualties among ISIS.

 

Areas controlled by Kurdish and regime forces

 

-SOHR activists documented that  a Regime soldier from Talbisa city in Northern countryside of Homs  , have died from wounds he suffered due to Turkish missile shelling on regime positions in the countryside of Aleppo two days ago.
