Escalating security chaos | Family fight leaves several people injured in refugee camp in rural Afrin

Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported that four civilians were injured in clashes with light machineguns erupted in Al-Khalidiyah camp in Afrin countryside between two displaced families from Al-Shawargha village in Sharan district in Aleppo countryside following disagreements between the two families. The injured people were taken to the national hospital in Azaz city.

 

On July 31, SOHR activists reported seeing displaced gunmen from Deir Ezzor and Al-Hamza militiamen operating under the banner of the “National Army” being put on high alert in Al-Bab city in the eastern countryside of Aleppo. According to SOHR sources, a dispute erupted in Al-Bab countryside between a member of Al-Hamza Division and a family of displaced persons from Al-Bazaa’h town in Deir Ezzor province.

 

Al-Hamza militiamen arrested a young man and two women and accused them of “belonging to ISIS.” Meanwhile, dozens of gunmen from Deir Ezzor gathered in Al-Bab city, threatening to escalate the situation if Al-Hamza Division did not release the civilians. Al-Hamza faction released the two women and kept the man detained.
