Military escalation | National Army member shot dead by regime sniper, while Turkish shells hit two villages in Aleppo countryside

Aleppo province: A “National Army” member died of wounds he sustained by a regime sniper on Tadaf frontline in Al-Bab countryside, east of Aleppo, on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Turkish forces and their proxy factions have fired heavy artillery shells on the villages of Harbel and Ahris in the northern countryside of Aleppo, leaving no casualties.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that a 13-year-old girl displaced from Tel Daman in southern Aleppo countryside of Aleppo died of wounds she sustained in Friday’s shelling by Turkish forces on Ghranada village in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

On August 19, SOHR activists documented the injury of an elder woman in her 70s due to Turkish shelling on Al-Nayribiyah village and the injury of a girl under the age of 18, due to another Turkish shelling on Gharnata village. The two villages are located within Kurdish-held areas northern of Aleppo, where Turkish forces stationed in Jalbal and Anab villages in Afrin countryside fired artillery shells on the vicinity of Baina/Abin village in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside.

Moreover, Turkish forces fired rocket launchers on the road linking Hassin, Qaramil villages, camps for livestock breeders and Gharnata farms, in addition to Tel Refaat centre, Ain Dakna and Bayloniyah villages.
