Armed clashes | Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah take over Al-Hamza Division headquarters in Al-Bab city amid popular discontent over murder “Abu Ghanum”

Aleppo province: Areas under the control of Turkish-backed factions in the countryside of Aleppo, particularly Al-Bab city, are experiencing popular discontent after the assassination of media activist “Abu Ghanum” in Al-Bab a few days ago on the orders of leaders of Turkish-backed factions.

There is a popular demand to prosecute killers of Abu Ghanum and his wife.

SOHR activists have reported that violent clashes erupted at dawn today between members of the Third Corps, Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah, on the one hand, and Al-Hamza faction, on the other, in Al-Bab city, leaving a civilian dead and three others injured.

According to Syrian Observatory activists, the “Third Corps” took control over the entire headquarters and camps of “Al-Hamza Division” in Al-Bab city and surrounded Bazaa’ah village, the main stronghold of Al-Hamza Division and most of its leaders.

Investigations indicate that it was Saif Boulad, known as Saif Abubakar, commander of Al-Hamza Division, who ordered the assassination of Abu Ghanum.

A funeral was attended by activists and dignitaries who demanded that the man who ordered the assassination be held accountable.
