Following escape of prisoners | Regime security services continue their arrest campaign in Rif Dimashq

Rif Dimashq province: SOHR sources have reported that regime security services arrested a civilian today, while he was crossing on his motorcycle through a security checkpoint in Madaya town in Rif Dimashq. It is worth noting that the members stationed on the checkpoint opened fire on the civilian, before arresting him. They also arrested another civilian, after shooting and injuring him.

 

The security members stationed on the checkpoint also delivered a list with the names of suspects to the town’s elders, calling upon the elders to inform the suspects to turn themselves in. However, they did not identify accusations against those suspects.

 

This arrest campaign follows the escape of some prisoners after an armed attack by unknown gunmen on a car transporting them on the road between Madaya and Al-Zabadani in Rif Dimashq.

 

Earlier today, SOHR sources reported that clashes erupted between members of the “Military Intelligence” branch and a group of unidentified gunmen in Madaya plain area in Rif Dimashq near the house of one of the members who were accused of “setting free prisoners two days ago.” The “military Intelligence” branch broke into the suspect’s house to arrest him.
