IS*IS resurgence | Two SDF members injured in northern Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: Gunmen of ISIS attacked a military checkpoint of SDF in Al-Harijy Town in northern Deir Ezzor countryside using machineguns, destroying a military vehicle and injuring two members.

Meanwhile, security forces of SDF and the Internal Security Forces “Al-Asayesh” have launched the “Humanitarian and Security” campaign in Al-Hawl Camp in northern of Al-Hasakah targeting ISIS cells.

SOHR has documented 19 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left nine fatalities:

• Six members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

• One ISIS member.

• One civilian.

These operations are distributed regionally as follows:

• Deir Ezzor: 14 attacks left three combatants and one civilian dead.

• Al-Hasakah: Two attacks left two combatants dead.

• Al-Raqqah: Two attacks left two combatants dead.

• Aleppo: One attack left one ISIS member dead.
