Al-Hasakah province: An 11 year-old child was killed due to the explosion of a metallic object of war remnants, while he was playing with it in Al-Tuwaimin Village south eastern of Al-Hasakah within SDF-held areas.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 13 civilians, including 12 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2024. In addition, 24 civilians, including 21 children and a woman, sustained various injuries.

The casualties are distributed regionally as follows:

• Regime-controlled areas: Eight fatalities, including seven children, and 17 injured civilians, including 17 women and 14 children.

• SDF-held areas: Four fatalities, four children, and seven injured children.
