Armed attack | Cattle merchant killed by unknown gunmen in Idlib countryside

Idlib province: SOHR sources have reported that unknown gunmen shot a cattle merchant dead and stole his money in an area near Al-Kamounah camp in northern Idlib, before they escaped.

 

This coincides with the escalating security chaos in areas controlled by Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and opposition factions.

 

Since early 2024, SOHR has documented eight incidents of security disorder in areas controlled by HTS and opposition factions in Idlib city and surrounding villages. These incidents left seven people dead and seven others injured. The fatalities are distributed as follows;

 

• Six civilians, including a woman.

 

• A member of the Turkistan Islamic Party.
