IS*IS resurgence | Gu*nmen attempt to assas*sinate civilian working in management of fuel office in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: Two gunmen of ISIS cells on a motorbike opened fire directly on the house of a civilian in Muhamaida Town, where the civilian works in management of fuel office in Deir Ezzor Civil Council, and the gunmen fled to an unknown destination. However, no casualties or material damages were reported.

SOHR has documented 54 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2024. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 27 fatalities:
• 15 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.
• Three ISIS member.
• Four civilians.
• Four guards working with the Autonomous Administration.

These operations are distributed regionally as follows:

• Deir Ezzor: 44 attacks left ten combatants, one member of ISIS and three civilians dead.

• Al-Hasakah: Six attacks left three combatants, one civilian and two ISIS members dead.

• Al-Raqqah: Five attacks left three combatants and four guards working with the Autonomous Administration dead.
