For second consecutive day | HTS violently attacks regime-held areas

Violent clashes, with medium and heavy weapons, erupt between members of “Talhah Brigade”, affiliated with HTS, and regime forces, following a violent attack by HTS, on Maarat Al-Naasan and Khirbat Jedraya frontlines in the western countryside of Aleppo within “Putin-Erdogan” area. The clashes resulted in the injury of the military commander of Talhah Brigade, and included violent exchanged ground shelling between both sides, where HTS bombed regime forces’ positions with “Grad” and “Katyusha” missiles on the frontlines of Kafar Halab, Khirbat Jedraya, Maarat Al-Naasan and Miznaz.
Regime forces also fired heavy artillery shells on Maarat Al-Arbikh frontline in the eastern countryside of Idlib.
Yesterday, two regime soldiers and gunmen loyal to them and Iran were killed, and seven others were injured, in an infiltration operation carried out by the “Red Bands” and “Armoured Brigade”, affiliated with HTS, on Qubtan Al-Jabal frontline in the western countryside of Aleppo, and as a result, violent clashes erupted with heavy weapons and machineguns between both sides, and a tank of the regime forces was destroyed, before the withdrawal of HTS members to their positions, and the injured were taken to military hospitals for treatment.
Since early 2024, SOHR has documented 113 operations in the “de-escalation zone,” including attacks, gunfire by snipers and bombardment, which left 117 combatants and civilians dead. In addition, these operations left over 53 combatants and 53 civilians, including six children, injured.

The fatalities can be distributed as follows:

14 civilians, including five children and a woman.

72 members of regime forces, including four officers.

26 members of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham.

Four members of “Ansar Al-Islam” faction.
