During past 72 hours | 15 regime soldiers and militias loyal to them killed by “ISIS” cells in Syrian desert

“ISIS” cells have escalated their attacks within the Syrian desert over the past 72 years, against regime forces and the militias supporting them, as they carried out four operations within the Syrian desert, distributed across Homs and Al-Raqqah deserts, and resulted in the killing of 15 members; six of the “National Defence” militia, six of the Iranian-backed militias of Syrian nationality and three of Al-Quds Brigade, in addition to the injury of two other members.
According to SOHR statistics, the number of fatalities in military operations in the Syrian desert since early 2024 has increased to 258; and they are as follows:

• 24 ISIS members were killed by regime forces and their proxy militias.

• 197 members of regime forces and their proxy militias, including 25 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen, were killed in 98 operations by ISIS members, including ambushes, armed attacks, and explosions, in west Euphrates region and the deserts of Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah, Homs.

• 37 civilians, including a child and a woman, were killed in attacks by ISIS in the Syrian desert.

Here is a regional distribution of ISIS attacks:

-Deir Ezzor desert: 34 operations left 83 fatalities:

• 60 combatants, including seven Iranian-backed militiamen.

• Five ISIS members.

• 18 civilians, including 17 truffle pickers, among them there was a woman.

-Homs desert: 45 operations left 100 fatalities:

• 75 combatants, including 12 Iranian-backed militiamen.

• 16 ISIS members.

• Ten civilians, including two truffle pickers.

-Al-Raqqah desert: 11 operations left 38 fatalities:

• 33 combatants, including two Iranian-backed militiamen.

• Three ISIS members.

• Two civilian truffle pickers.

-Hama desert: Six operations left 31 fatalities:

• 24 combatants, including an Iranian-backed militiaman.

• Seven civilians, including a child.

-Aleppo: Two operations left five fatalities:

• Three Iranian-backed militiamen.

• Two National Defence members
