Responding to shelling on Al-Golan | Israel targets military position in Daraa countryside

Israeli missiles were fired on a military position in the vicinity of Ma’araiya Village in Hawd Al-Yarmouk area in western Daraa countryside. However, no casualties were reported.

This comes as response to the firing of one missile from Syrian territory towards the occupied Syrian Al-Golan.

SOHR documented 31 attacks in 2024: 22 airstrikes and nine rocket attacks by ground forces, during which Israel targeted several positions in Syria, destroying nearly 60 targets, including buildings, weapons and ammunitions warehouses, headquarters, centres and vehicles. These strikes killed 123 combatants and injured 47 others. The fatalities are distributed as follows:

21 Iranian members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
19 members of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
12 Iraqi persons.
23 Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen.
Ten Iranian-backed non-Syrian militiamen.
38 regime soldiers.
In addition, those attacks left ten civilians, including a woman, dead and nearly 20 other civilians injured.

The attacks are distributed regionally as follows:

Damascus and Rif Dimashq: 14 attacks.
Daraa: Eight attacks.
Homs: Three attacks.
Al-Quneitra: Two attacks.
Tartus: One attack.
Deir Ezzor: One attack.
Aleppo: One attack.
SOHR would like to point out that Israel sometimes targeted more than one province in a single attack.
