The capital of “Al-Khair State” witnesses continuous fighting and the “Islamic State” organization fight desperately to stop the regime forces to advance and take the control of it

Deir Ezzor Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: a man was killed and others were injured as a result of bombing by warplanes on areas in Al-Asharah town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, the warplanes also carried out several strikes on areas in Al-Mayadin city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, after the midnight of Friday – Saturday, and no information about casualties was reported, while the clashes are still continuing between the regime forces backed by the armed militiamen loyal to them of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities against the members of the “Islamic State” organization, in the western section of Al-Mayadin city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, at the western banks of the Euphrates River, where the regime forces are trying to achieve new advancement into the city, in order to take the control of it, and encircle the villages and the towns extended from the east of Deir Ezzor city to Al-Mayadin from 3 sides, and force the organization to withdraw to the eastern banks of the Euphrates River.

The continuous clashes have been also accompanied since the arrival of the regime forces to the city less than 24 hours ago, by artillery and rocket shelling as well as strikes by the Russian as well as the regime’s warplanes, which resulted in the fall of more casualties and wounded, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published yesterday, that the regime forces, supported by Russian forces and their allied militiamen, with a cover of heavy raids and artillery and missile shelling, managed on Friday the 6th of October 2017, to reach the first position in the western part of al-Mayadin city, which was taken by ISIS as the capital of “al-Khair State”, most prominent of which is Rahba Citadel and the areas of silos and sheep markets, and the regime forces have thus entered the city, which witnessed during the past days, hundreds of artillery and missile shelling and raids by the regime forces, the Russians, their warplanes and helicopters, and the regime forces managed to achieve this control through advancing from the east of Deir Ezzor city at the western banks of the Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

Also the SOHR observed that if the regime forces managed to achieve further advancement and control the city of al-Mayadin, they would surround the organization of ISIS on the western banks of the Euphrates River in the villages and towns extending from the east of Deir Ezzor city to al-Mayadin city, and the organization will only have to cross the river towards its eastern banks, where the clashes are taking place between the forces of “al-Jazeera Storm” and ISIS members, and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published this morning, that warplanes believed to be Russian carried out a new massacre on the western banks of the Euphrates River, in the eastern countryside, during the last night, in which 14 citizens at least including 7 children and citizen women at least were killed, as a result of raids targeted Mahkan area and its water crossing between Mahkan area in the east of Al-Mayadin at the western bank of the Euphrates River, and Ziban and Al-Tayyanah areas in the east of the Euphrates River, during an attempt by families to leave to Deir Ezzor desert, for fear of the massacres that exhausted them, and the number of casualties may increase because of the presence of serious injuries, while a man and his son were killed and others were injured, as a result of bombing by warplanes yesterday on areas in Hajin in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, thus, the death toll increases to 223 persons at least including 49 children and 58 citizen woman, of who have been killed in the bombing, since the dawn of Friday the 29th of September 2017 until the 6th of October 2017, as a result of the bombing on Deir Ezzor province, the intensive raids also left tens of injuries, some of them are still in serious cases, which may raise the death toll.
