Military security services arrest NDF member for “photographing military headquarters” in Al-Mayadin

Deir Ezzor Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that the regime’s military security services have arrested a member of the National Defense Forces (NDF) for “photographing military headquarters” in Al-Kurnish area in Al-Mayadin city, east of Deir Ezzor.

On Thursday, SOHR sources monitored widespread popular resentment in Al-Mayadin city, which is controlled by Iranian forces and regime-backed militiamen in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, due to heavy gunfire by members of the “National Defense Forces” (NDF).

NDF members opened fire heavily up in the air celebrating the healing of NDF commander in Al-Mayadin following a car accident. The commander is from Damascus and known by his initials as M.A.

The heavy gunfire triggered panic and widespread resentment among the area’s residents.
