Daraa uprising | Residents renew protests, calling for the toppling of regime and demanding Iranians leave Syria

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored tens of residents participating in two demonstrations in Daraa province this afternoon. The first demonstration went out in Daraa Al-Balad in Daraa city, while the second one was in Al-Jizah town in Daraa countryside.

The demonstrators demanded the Iranians leave Syrian, and called for the toppling of the Syrian regime and the release of detainees. The residents also chanted slogans expressing their solidarity and support to the anti-regime protests in Al-Suwaidaa province.

SOHR activists reported on Wednesday that a night demonstration took place in Jassim city, north of Daraa, confirming the continuity of the Syrian revolution. The demonstrators also blamed the regime for the currency plunge.

On June 9, SOHR sources said that dozens of residents in Tafas in the western countryside of Daraa, participated in a protest, which set off from Al-Omari mosque in the city, demanding the toppling of the regime and the release of detainees. The protesters also denounced the deteriorating living conditions in Syria.
