New assassination| Unknown gunmen shoot dead ex-commander with settled status  in western Daraa

SOHR activists have documented the death of a former commander of opposition factions, who had struck a reconciliation deal and joined the regime military security service, when unknown gunmen opened fire on him in Nawa city in the western countryside of Daraa.

 

Since early 2022, the number of attacks documented by SOHR in Daraa province has risen to 315, which left 272 people dead; and they are as follows:

 

  • 132 civilians, including three women and five children.

 

  • 116 regime military personnel, “collaborators” with security services and members with settled-status working for regime services and backed militias.

 

  • 13 former fighters who did not joined any military formation, after striking reconciliation deals.

 

  • An ex-ISIS member.

 

  • Seven unidentified people.
