Daraa | Two missiles fired on Syrian occupied Al-Golan while Israel targets positions in western countryside

A position in Syrian occupied Al-Golan was targeted by two missiles that were fired from Syrian territory, while three explosions were heard in western Daraa countryside caused by Israeli shelling on military positions in western Daraa countryside.

On November 12, Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes on the 112th Mechanized Brigade, in the vicinity of Nawa in the western countryside of Daraa. No causalities were reported. It is noted that this is the second time Israel has targeted the brigade in less than two weeks, as it targeted it on October 29, after threats through paper leaflets they threw at the area on October 25, during which they held Syrian regime commanders and singled out the commander of the 112th Brigade responsible for the bombing of the “occupied Syrian Golan” from within Syrian territory.

SOHR documented 51 attacks in 2023: 36 airstrikes and 15 rocket attacks by ground forces, during which Israel targeted several positions in Syria, destroying nearly 105 targets, including buildings, weapons and ammunitions warehouses, headquarters, centres and vehicles. These strikes killed 96 combatants and injured 112 others. The fatalities are distributed as follows:
• 40 members of regime forces, including officers.
• 31 Iranian-backed non-Syrian militiamen.
• Six members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
• Four Iranian-backed Syrian militiamen.
• 13 members of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
• Two members of “Al-Jihad Al-Islami” organisation.
In addition, those attacks left three men and a woman dead and other civilians injured.
The attacks are distributed regionally as follows:
• Damascus and Rif Dimashq: 16 attacks.
• Al-Quneitera: eight attacks.
• Hama: two attacks.
• Tartus: three attacks.
• Aleppo: eight attacks.
• Al-Suwaidaa: four attacks.
• Daraa: 11 attacks.
• Homs: four attacks.
• Deir Ezzor: two attacks.
SOHR would like to point out that Israel sometimes targeted more than one province in a single attack.
