Firing over ten rockets | Israeli bombardment targets military positions in Daraa countryside and areas near the occupied Syrian Golan

SOHR sources have reported that Israeli forces fired over ten rockets on military positions in Tel Al-Jomou’, the surrounding areas of Tasil town and a positions in Tel Al-Jaybah which belongs to the 61st Brigade and is located to the west of Nawa city in the western countryside of Daraa near Al-Quneitra province and the occupied Syrian Golan. However, no casualties have been reported so far.

This comes as a respond to rocket fire by groups working for the Lebanese Hezbollah on the occupied Syrian Golan.

SOHR sources have just reported that groups working for the Lebanese Hezbollah fired nearly ten rockets on positions in the occupied Syrian Golan, where SOHR activists in the western countryside of Daraa reported hearing the explosions caused by this bombardment.

This round of rocket fire comes after groups backed by Iran and the Lebanese Hezbollah suspended their attacks on the occupied Syrian Golan for over 15 days.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces reacted to this rocket fire by firing rockets on positions in Nawa countryside in the western countryside of Daraa, but no casualties were reported.

SOHR sources had reported that Iranian-backed groups ceased their attacks on the occupied Syrian Golan since early 2024, except for only one attack carried out on January 1.

It is worth noting that Hezbollah-backed groups stationed in Syrian territory carried out 18 rounds of rocket attacks on the occupied Syrian Golan since the beginning of the latest violent aggression by Israel on the Gaza Strip; they are distributed as follows:

  • Five rounds in October.

  • Five rounds in November.

  • Six rounds in December.

  • Two rounds in January.
