18 airstrikes since morning | Turkish aircraft attacks vital institutions in Kobani and Qamishli, killing and injuring 17 civilians

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR sources have reported that the number of civilians who were killed in today’s airstrikes by Turkish aircraft in different areas in Al-Qamishli city has increased to six; they are distributed as follows:

 

  • Four civilians in an attack on “Semaf” print shop in the west of Al-Qamishly city.

 

  • A civilian was killed in an attack on a site nearby a presser in the silos area.

 

  • A civilian was killed in an attack on a centre for distributing fuels in Al-Qamishli city.

 

The Turkish airstrikes also injured 11 other civilians, some seriously; they are as follows:

 

  • Nine civilians were injured in attacks on Al-Qamishli city.

 

  • Two civilians were injured in attacks on Ain Al-Arab city (Kobani).

 

Accordingly, the number of airstrikes carried out by Turkish aircraft in Ain Al-Arab (Kobani) and Al-Hasakah countryside since morning has increased to 18.

 

Those attacks, which violate all international conventions by targeting vital institutions and infrastructures, targeted the following sites:

 

  • The power plant in Milson neighbourhood.

 

  • A post behind the railway station in Antiriyah neighbourhood.

 

  • “Semaf” print shop in the west of Al-Qamishly city.

 

  • A construction centre in the east of Al-Qamishly city, near COVID hospital.

 

  • The railway station.

 

  • A site near the bureau of SADCOP (Storing and Distributing Co., Petroleum Products) for storing and distributing diesel in Al-Alayah neighbourhood in Al-Qamishli city in Al-Hasakah countryside, near the prison which hosts ISIS prisoners.

 

  • Another site in Al-Alayah neighbourhood in Al-Qamishli city.

 

  • The cement plant in the east of Al-Qamishly city.

 

  • A mill in the east of Al-Qamishly city.

 

  • “Al-Shamal” company nearby the silos in Qanat Al-Suez neighbourhood.

 

  • A wedding hall in Amudah town in Al-Qamishli countryside.

 

  • “Fawwaz Aref” wheat sorting machine in the west of Amudah town in Al-Hasakah countryside.

 

  • A mountain near Shurak village in Al-Qamishli countryside.

 

  • Five strikes targeted different positions in Ain Al-Arab city (Kobani) in the eastern countryside of Aleppo. One of the airstrikes targeted a construction company affiliated to the Autonomous Administration.

 

Accordingly, the number of attacks carried out by Turkish drones on areas controlled by the Autonomous Administration in north and north-east Syria since early 2023 has increased to 124. These attacks left 92 fatalities, as well as the injury of over 106 others. The fatalities are distributed as follows:

 

  • 24 civilians, including two children and three women, and three civilian officials of the Autonomous Administration, including a female.

 

  • 65 combatants of military formations operating in areas controlled by the Autonomous Administration, including two commanders.

 

  • Three regime soldiers.

 

Turkish drone attacks in SDF-controlled areas in 2023 are distributed regionally as follows:

 

  • Al-Hasakah: 81 attacks left 59 fatalities: 21 civilians, including four women and two children, and 38 combatants, including two commanders.

 

  • Al-Raqqah: Three attack left no fatalities.

 

  • Aleppo countryside: 36 attacks left 27 combatants, three regime soldiers and three civilians dead.
